Per Wisselgren
Per Wisselgren is Senior Lecturer at the Department of History of Science and Ideas, Uppsala University, and Associate Professor of Sociology. His previous research includes studies on the academization of social science at the turn of the 20th century, gender and extra-academic social research during the interwar period, and the internationalization of the social sciences during the Cold War.
Besides being the PI of the project, Wisselgren has the main responsibility for the sub-study on the Social Science Research Council.
Hampus Östh Gustafsson
Hampus Östh Gustafsson is a researcher at the Department of History of Science and Ideas, Uppsala University. His research has concerned the history of the humanities, with a particular focus on Swedish politics of knowledge and the formation of a crisis discourse in the 20th century, and also included broader questions regarding academic freedom, collegiality, and temporalities at modern universities.
In this project, Östh Gustafsson leads the sub-study on the Humanities Fund and the Humanities Research Council.
Tobias Dalberg
Tobias Dalberg is a sociologist of education at the Department of Education, Uppsala University. He has a special interest in educational and career pathways, the evolution of disciplines, and the sociology of science. His prior research on these themes has mainly focused on the history of the social sciences and the humanities in early to mid-20th century Sweden.
In this project, Dalberg leads the sub-study on the aggregate effects and changes in the research landscape, 1947–1977.
